Voter Maintenance—Eligibility Maint Tab

To access: VOTER REGISTRATION > Voter Maintenance > {voter} > Eligibility Maint

or

VOTER REGISTRATION > Eligibility Match Queue > {voter}

This tab contains information only when there are one or more eligibility-maintenance records for a voter. When this is the case, the Eligibility Maint tab displays an asterisk:

Double-click a match record to open the appropriate dialog for the record type. You are then able to process the record.

Records that are disabled—as the record shown in the image above—have already been processed. No further action is required.

Fields and Controls on this Dialog

Cancel Record

Cancels the open voter record for the Process Type you select.

  • The voter's status is updated to a (P) status that reflects the reason for cancellation based on the process type you selected.
  • A Notice of Cancellation is scheduled in the Notices Queue.
  • The cancellation and reason are added to the voter record Audit tab.
  • The Voter Import file will be updated with the appropriate event type and cancellation code.
  • The voter registration number is now highlighted red in the voter record, which identifies the voter as ineligible to vote.

If the voter was a mail ballot voter, the following events also occur:

  • The Ballot By Mail status is set to Canceled.
  • Any outstanding mail ballot requests are canceled.
  • The mail ballot cancellation is audited in the voter's record.
  • For FPCA and all-elections voters, the Requested All Elections through Dec/31/YYYY notation at the bottom of the voter's Ballot By Mail tab is removed.
  • For FPCA voters, a Cancellation of FPCA Notice is scheduled in the Notices Queue.

Schedule Notice of Examination

Opens the Schedule Notice of Examination dialog where you can schedule a notice type of examination for this voter and place the voter in the Eligibility Match Queue.

Users must have the permission VotersEligibilityMaintenance to see this button.
